Travel days

Believe it or not, traveling is getting so much easier with the girls. But you have to remember I traveled from Florida to San Francisco alone with them when they were 11 months old. Poppy crashed on the first leg of the flight home, and Tilly crashed on the second leg of the flight. Bringing on 1 carseat and leaving the other seat empty works out well for right now. They won't usually sleep unless they are strapped into a carseat or in a crib--on the way to Florida Tilly didn't sleep at all, because I couldn't strap her down and the flights were supposed to be full so I didn't bother with a carseat. We met a woman with identical twin boys on flight, hers were 22 years old!
We had a really good time in Florida, I'm glad we went, but I'm glad to be home and back into our routine too! I'm also thankful that the girls are such good travelers--they really are. I'm sure we will have our share of bad trips but so far we have been really pleased with what good girls they are--except that one flight to Atlanta where it was so hard to keep the girls in our laps it was virtually a wrestling match! It was like trying to hold 2 crazed greased pigs on your lap, for 5 hours. Good times.

More vacation pictures from the FLA Keys

so many pictures, I've only posted a few. we found these great little camp chairs at Walmart for $5 and the girls loved sitting in them at the beach. The beach is the one that our condo sat on, called Coco Plum Beach. The pictures in this post are post-storm clean up, you wouldn't believe how much sea grass was there the day before! The sunsets and amazing down there--apparently the sunrises are too but we never saw one of those!

Some pix from Vero Beach

Tilly is just painfully pretty!

Look at Pretty Poppy's stork legs--she's so very tall right now!

What a funny place! It was a completely empty upscale beach community, with everyone gone for the season. We had the beach to ourselves, except the occassional crab! Will post more from Marathon, but we spent Sun-Thursday at our neighbor Marcia's house in Sea Oaks.

Overall we had a great time, and are really lucky to have such a generous neighbor who has a wonderful beach house. We even got to have a few beers with our friend Rich from New York while in Vero!

this is a photo of the beach we are staying at--Coco Plum Beach, one of the longest beaches in the keys I believe.
